Member Colin Reek catches his fish of a lifetime.

The record-breaking 15lb 4oz rainbow trout was caught at a Nottinghamshire water in early April.

Taken on a size 12 stick fly on the point on a floating line, it was Colin's first fish of a six bag limit.

Colin said "I still can't believe it. At first I thought it was a pike! The strange thing was, it didn't pull my arm off although I did need help from Georgy Botham to land it because it was too big to go into the net. 

We didn't have any scales that could weigh the fish so we took it to a local farm shop and weighed it on their meat scales.

It will be preserved and put into a case to take pride of place at home.
