We arrived to find a cold wind, not expected after a couple of nice spring like days.
The fishing was excellent, although some did not catch until later on in the day, most then catching their limit and going on to release many more.
Intermediate lines was the best for all and a variety of flies, Damsels, Dawsons Olive, Montanas in a variety of colours, Nomads and many more. The majority of fish were caught in Shinningford Creek.
Helen and Jesse, new to fishing came on their first outing with Colwick and niether had fished off a boat before, well done particularly to Jesse who had her limit and came 5th with her bag of 10lb 13oz. Good to see a new name on the board! Thanks to Keith and Rob giving them an introduction to boat fishing.
Congratulations to Keith on his superb 10lb 4oz fish, Paul for the heaviest bag which included a fish of 7lb 13oz, and John M had a nice 6lb fish.
