This was our first visit to this charming fishery and we were welcomed by Ed Foster who runs it. He was helpful in giving some guidance as to what had been catching and pointing out where he thought it best to fish etc.
The forecast said it was to be the hottest day of the year; it could well have been and we all boiled. However the fish moved and a surprising number were caught given the bright conditions.
All had at least one fish and some rather more, particularly Kevin initially fishing with a Di 3.
Most fished intermediate lines and fast sink at times.
Many damsels were hatching and Damsel flies, Blobs, Pitsford Pea and various Black & Green took fish; a floating line worked for Rosemary with a long leader and black or olive buzzers.
Kirby FFC fished too, and many of us enjoyed a much needed drink at the end of the day.
For those who have not fished here, if you are that way it is well worth a visit..
